My Favorite Astrology Resources

Blog Banner TPRA.png

For the last seven years, I have been on a journey to learn and discover as much about astrology as I can. This journey continues, and along the way, I have found myself exploring a variety of resources. I’ve attended webinars/online summits, watched virtual classes (recorded and live), subscribed to celebrity astrologer forums, listened to countless hours of educational astrology podcasts, and read volumes of material on how to create and interpret birth charts and horoscopic predictions. Here, I am sharing with you the best of the best—so far.

I use these in sessions with my clients, when writing newsletters, and while preparing materials for classes. These are my tried and true astrology resources. This blog is not sponsored or paid.

AstroFuture - App

My all time favorite iOS app for Astrology, AstroFuture checks several boxes when it comes to features. For $3.99 per month, I subscribe to unlock features such as “time traveling” at the top of the screen. I can look back on days, months, and years, and look ahead as well. The interface of this app makes reading aspects and identifying transits quite simple. I also appreciate the “year ahead” feature, which identifies exact transits in your horoscope throughout the year. You can click any of the identified transits, and see the chart for that exact moment.

Ghost of a Podcast - Podcast

I have been a dedicated listener of Jessica Lanyadoo’s podcast for many, many years. There were a few years I also subscribed to their Patreon. I love Jessica’s direct, yet compassionate approach to humanistic astrology. So many times I have listened to their podcast readings and felt as though the message is directly for me. I am also a big fan of their book, Astrology for Real Relationships, which breaks down how the various planets and zodiac work together to influence our friendships, romantic relationships, and other social bonds. Though it is not a new offering, I am newly loving Jessica’s astrology tracking tool, Astrology For Days, which is just over $20 for an annual subscription.

Body Astrology - Book

Written by Claire Gallagher, this book lays out the basics of the anatomical and physiological connections to astrology. This has been a super useful resource in understanding the strengths and weaknesses of a particular zodiac sign through the lens of health astrology. There’s an explanation for each zodiac sign’s corresponding anatomy as well as ideal exercises, foods, and expressions of energy. For example, Aquarius is associated with the ankles, Sagittarius the hips and thighs, and Pisces with the feet. Taurus can experience thyroid conditions, Cancer can suffer from menstrual irregularities, and Aries can be prone to vision problems. Gemini should avoid eating with screens in front of them, Capricorn may be lactose intolerant, and Scorpio should eat a diet filled with soluble fiber.

Astro-Charts.com - Website

There are countless positives about astro-charts.com, which I have used for years to share FREE natal charts with clients. These natal charts are clear to read and provide a ton of useful data when generating a chart: exact aspects in a designated orb, additional data points that can be added (i.e., asteroids), and a straightforward depiction of natal placements. I truly enjoy the user experience of this website and the brand aesthetics are a bonus!

Bonus mention: Noel Tyl books are true treasures if you come across them or seek them out. I was lucky enough to have a good friend share her late father’s collection with me to read, a 12-book series that goes through horoscope construction (hand-calculated!), zodiac and planetary associations, astrological personalities, calculations and analysis, and much more. This is perhaps the most studious of all the suggestions here.
